In the end of October, our Steering Committee member Jeroni was in Baku, Azerbaijan on behalf of GYG.
Here is what she did:

First, I attended the First Global Forum on Youth Policies where youth workers, representatives from several governments and youth councils, researchers and people from different UN bodies discussed different youth policies. What they did not mention, was the repression the Azerbaijan government is using on their own youth, imprisoning several activists who stand up against the regime and demand democracy and human rights. Therefore, I made a statement as you can see on the photo.

Then I also attended the annual meeting of the International Coordination Meeting of Youth Organisations, and umbrella where GYG is also part of, lobbying for youth policies and a representation of youth in the UN. We elected a new task force and shared what we are working on in the different organisations.
