The Australian Greens Election breakthrough.

The election results are significant. The Greens received:

  • House of Representatives – 11.7% of the vote – 1.45 million+ people voted Greens in the House of Representatives (Lower House)
  • Senate – 13.1% of the vote – 1.6 million people voted Greens in the Senate(Upper House)

The Australian Greens won the balance of power in the Senate, as well as our first lower house seat at a general election in Melbourne.
