La Juventud no está perdida, está desamparada

Desde cualquier latitud, desde México hasta Argentina, sin pasar por debajo de la mesa otras naciones, pero principalmente en nuestra américa latina, la juventud se ve en la difícil situación de carencia en todos los sentidos, desde la educación que en la mayoría de nuestros países es muy costosa, dónde el único derecho que tenemos es a endeudarnos.
El acceso al primer empleo, la discriminación que se sufre al no tener la experiencia suficiente en diferentes sectores, nos hacen ser parte de un eslabón que no se haya en ningún sitio, que necesita una brújula, esos somos los jóvenes en Latinoamérica. Somos los que consumimos productos que con nuestras materias primas elaboran, los que importamos cultura, y exportamos recursos, oro a cambio de espejos como en tiempos de la colonización. Eso creen ellos que somos.
Venezuela, un país que marca el rumbo en la región, por su posición geopolítica, sus grandes reservas en recursos naturales, entre otras cosas, somos el ojo del huracán, no por su crecimiento, sino por la grave crisis humanitaria que desde hace dos años se ha agravado, y algo que ha pasado desapercibido es el bono demográfico que Venezuela ha estado desaprovechando desde el año 2010.
En este mismo momento que escribo estas líneas, 8 de cada 10 jóvenes no tienen un empleo digno, 6 de cada 10 jóvenes se duermen sin cenar, 8 de cada 10 jóvenes no recibe una educación de Calidad, 9 de cada 10 jóvenes piensa en emigrar a otro país, según el INE (instituto nacional de estadística), Por eso es que la juventud Venezolana salió a protestar, muchos de mis compañeros están presos, se contabilizan hasta el momento, sólo este año 764 presos por las protestas, y más de 100 muertos, sin mencionar los decesos por la inseguridad…
Jóvenes que no merecemos estar pasando por esa situación más allá de la connotación política, los jóvenes en todo el mundo solo queremos oportunidades para una mejor calidad de vida, empleos dignos, seguridad, igualdad.
Debemos estar juntos para luchar jóvenes del mundo, y nuestro único recuso es protestar, de muchas maneras, luchar por un presente que nos pertenece, un futuro que lleva escrito nuestro nombre y no por un pasado que no es nuestra responsabilidad. Una gran luz ante el oscurantismo son ventanas como esta que nos permitan alzar la voz como método de protesta, debemos unirnos porque lo que ayer fueron los Balcanes, Ucrania, Grecia, Siria, hoy es Venezuela y mañana podría ser tu nación. “Podrán cortar las flores pero no detendrán la primavera”.

The Youth is not lost, it is helpless.

From any latitude, from Mexico to Argentina, without passing under the table other nations, but mainly in our Latin America, the youth is in a difficult situation of scarcity in all senses, starting with education, which in the majority of our countries is very expensive and the only right we have is to get in debt.
Access to a first job and the discrimination suffered when not having enough experience in different sectors make us part of a generation that cannot be located anywhere, that needs a compass. That is us, the young people of Latin America. We are those that consume products elaborated with our own raw materials, those that import culture, and export resources, gold in exchange for mirrors* as in times of colonization. That’s what they think we are.
Venezuela, a country that sets the course in the region due to its geopolitical position, its large reserves of natural resources, amongst other things, we are the eye of the hurricane, not because of growth, but for the serious humanitarian crisis that has been worsening for two years, and something that has gone unnoticed is the demographic bonus that Venezuela has been wasting away since 2010.
At the same time that I write these lines, 8 out of 10 young people do not have a decent job, 6 out of 10 young people go to sleep without dinner, 8 out of 10 young people do not receive a quality education, 9 out of 10 young people think of emigrating to another country, according to the INE (National Statistics Institute). That is why the Venezuelan youth came out to protest, many of my colleagues are imprisoned, counted so far, in this year alone 764 have been arrested for the protests, and more than 100 have died, not to mention the deaths due to insecurity…
Young people who do not deserve to be going through this situation beyond the political connotation, young people around the world only want opportunities for a better quality of life, dignified jobs, security, equality.
Young people of the world we must fight, and our only tool is to protest, in many ways, to fight for a present that belongs to us, a future that has our name written in it and not for a past that is not our responsibility. A great light before obscurantism are windows like this that allow us to raise our voice as a method of protest, we must unite because yesterday it was the Balkans, Ukraine, Greece, Syria, today is Venezuela and tomorrow could be your nation. “They can cut the flowers but they will not stop spring.”
